Clean Up Australia Day
It was started by Ian Kiernan in 1990 in
reaction to the polluted state of the world’s oceans.
Everyone can get involved by registering
their own Clean-up Site or by volunteering at a site near them.
Clean Up Australia advises that all
volunteers dress appropriately for the weather, including closed toe
shoes. They also advise that you bring a
hat, a pair of gloves, sunscreen, water and eye protection.
